The 1:10:100 Rule

The 1:10:100 Rule shows that for every $1 to fix a problem in the design phase, it would cost $10 to fix that same problem in the development phase, and $100 after the product has been released. It’s easier and faster to make changes in the design phase. Changes in the development or production stage can be more costly, time consuming, and introduce more risk.
